From September 9 to 14, 2015

Tara will be in London from September 9 to 14 to share recent discoveries about the world of plankton.

After ports-of-call in Greenland and Stockholm, before going to Paris, the French scientific research vessel Tara will dock in London on September 9th for a five-day stay. Two years after her last stopover in London, Tara continues her mission as sentinel of the Ocean and will present a first detailed overview of the global planktonic ecosystem

On the way to the next United Nations Climate Conference (COP21), the schooner is on course to alert the public and policy makers about the rapid changes in the oceans caused by global warming (support Tara Expéditions and the Ocean & Climate Platform using the hashtag #OceanforClimate).

Tara and the crew members will welcome visitors in London on Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13, from 10am to 12h and from 2pm to 5pm.
Location: Thames Quay in West India Dock – South Quay Station
