Nicolas Floc’h was born in 1970 in Rennes. He lives and works in Paris and has exhibited his work throughout the world: Brazil, Netherlands, Japan, USA, Belgium, Turkey, Chile and England. In 2008, he discovered the existence of artificial reefs, “living architecture” colonized by the flora and fauna of the oceans, omnipresent in Japan.
At the junction of art and science, Nicolas Floc’h will voyage aboard the schooner between Tokyo and Keelung (March 23-April 28) to continue his artistic and historical reflection on this theme, creating a set of sculptures that will become part of the panorama of artificial reefs particular to Japan.
